Très bon tournoi de rentrée sur ses terres pour Rachael Darragh qui s'impose en Simple Dames et en Doubles Dames et parvient en finale du Double Mixte.

On the first day of the Irish under 19 open 2015 I had quite a tough mixed game to begin with against two Scottish players Mark Leith and Sarah Findlay , with my partner Paul Reynolds we won the match 21-18 21-18 . Later that day in women's singles I played an Irish girl in the first round Moya Ryan , I won the match 21-9 21-7.

On the second day I began with the quarter finals of women's doubles ! I partnered Sara Boyle and we played against Miren Azcue and Marta Molina from Spain ,we won the match 21-13 21-11. Less than an hour later I had my quarter final of women's singles against toni woods , I won the match 21-12 21-11 and my last quarter final was my mixed doubles , Paul and I played the Scottish partnership of Christopher Grimley and Eleanor Odonnell, we played quite well and won the match 21-13 21-17
After some time to rest and relax,  later on the Saturday evening I had my semi finals! The first semi was mixed doubles against the Spanish players Alejo Ibead and Miren Azcue who were members of the winning team in the european junior team championships this year ! Paul and I lost the first set 14-21 , the Spanish were in control of the game all the way until the middle of the second set where we managed to come back and win the second game 21-19 and the third 21-15. The next game was women's singles where I faced Eleanor Odonnell from Scotland unfortunately Eleanor hurt her hamstring in the middle of the first set and was forced to retire which also gave Sara and I a walkover in the women's doubles semi final as we were to play Eleanor Odonnell and Sarah Findlay !

On finals day, the first final of the day was women's doubles , we took the title beating Tilda Sjoo and Ella Soderstrom 21-15 21-13 . The second final was women's singles where I was to play against Holly Newall of Scotland , previously I had never beaten holly but on this meeting I managed to win and take my second title 21-18 21-5. My last final was mixed doubles where I played the french partnership of Louis Ducrot and Candice Lesne . Paul and I struggled to relax and lost the first set 14-21 , we managed to fight hard and take the second 21-19 and we gave everything we had on that day in the third but unfortunately lost 15-21!

I was very happy with my performances at my first tournament of this new season!
